If the Home Boyz made any revelation at the Uganda Waragi DJs mix gig last weekend, it was the fact that your favourite song could sound in a variety of ways. Not only were they able to spin the songs from their initial format, but they also introduced the songs into a whole new different musical genre, which left our supposedly bonafide home-based DJs in awe.
RS Elvis (Radio one), DJ Bobby (from Club Silk) and DJ Ricky were the front men for the Uganda’s up-tempo sizzling gig. Having taken centre stage before the Home Boyz came on stage, it was clear not only did they have skills on the turn tables, but they could also dazzle a crowd.
“Just when I thought that DJ Clue was the ultimate mix-DJ, the Home Boyz turned the action into a redefinition of entertainment.
As the Uganda Waragi went about, the DJs expressed ultimate ease on stage and still maintained to booze an air professionalism,” Sandor Walusimbi of UBL confessed. But it turned into a lesson session for our DJs because the tricks and maneouvers unleashed by the Home Boyz on the turntables seemed like a tough act to follow.
