THE Movement for democratic Change (MDC) on Saturday released names of 78 aspirants drawn from 30 districts to contest for the February 23 parliamentary elections.

MDC is one of the 38 registered political parties, which picked nomination forms from the Electoral Commission (EC) to sponsor a presidential candidate but later pulled out.

Kitimbo will take on Forum for Democratic Change member Salaamu Musumba for Bugabula south.

In Buzaya, MDC’s Johnson Mutibwa will take on the incumbent Isaac Musumba, state minister for finance.

In Bukoto Central, Masaka district, emm-anuel Nsubuga will tussle it out with Parliament Speaker Edward Ssekandi while in Busiro north, Wakiso district, Sam Lule will contest against Vice-President Gilbert Bukenya.

In Kinkizi west, Lawrence Mugisha will contest against Amama Mbabazi, the defence minister. Kitimbo said candidates for the Local Council seats would be rolled out in due course.
