Power station to cost $14m

Ground breaking for the $14m (about sh25.3b) Nyagak mini hydro-power station in West Nile will be on January 13, Eng Moses Murengezi, the Rural Electricity Agency’s manager of project monitoring and evaluation, has said.

Ground breaking for the $14m (about sh25.3b) Nyagak mini hydro-power station in West Nile will be on January 13, Eng Moses Murengezi, the Rural Electricity Agency’s manager of project monitoring and evaluation, has said.
Speaking to reporters at Hotel Africana in Kampala recently, Murengezi said negotiations with WENRECO, the company in charge of the project, had ended and they were waiting for the ground breaking date.
