NEARLY ten years after winning the national title, George Yiga returned to teach the youngsters a table tennis lesson.

Yiga beat Jackson Migadde 4-2 (7-11, 11-7, 12-10, 9-11, 11-3, 11-8) in the final to add the Sharing men’s singles trophy to the many in his cabinet.

The former national champion showed his vast experience by rallying to victory at Sharing Hall on Sunday. Yiga lost the opening set, found his touch by taking the next two, lost the fourth before sealing Migadde’s fate in the fifth and sixth sets.

The women’s title went to a Kenyan — Rachael Kathure— who overpowered Uganda’s Amina Lukaya 4-1 (11-5, 8-11, 11-7, 15-13, 11-8).
