UGANDA will stand in the way of Ethiopia’s qualification for the Olympics, but Kobs’ tacticians are not sympathetic and want to end their miserable campaign with a win.
“I have asked the players to give this game the best they can to save face,” said Kobs coach Charles Namakoola. The U-23 soccer team regrouped yesterday at Lugogo .
The Ethiopians need a win to qualify, while a draw for Angola against Morocco away in Rabat would see the Angolans through to Athens, provided Kobs defeat Ethiopia.
Namakoola and his assistant Jackson Mayanja are aware their boys — rooted bottom of group C — have not done themselves justice in a tournament that continues to be a nightmare for Uganda.
