About 10,000 civil servants, businessmen and farmers in the district have accessed automated teller machine cards from Stanbic Bank, sources have said.
The source said the bank has been sensitising customers on the utilisation of the automated bank facility.

Boy killed

A JUVENILE remanded for defilement was recently shot dead after he attempted to escape from custody. The officer in charge of Soroti prison, James Isamat, on Friday said Anthony Esayu, 19, was shot in the left shoulder by a warder who attempted to scare him from escaping.
