Ministry in kyeyo

It appears that the Ministry of Finance has devised a way to raise money for its coffers. The Mitsubishi staff shuttle van (UG0029F) now plies the Kampala-Entebbe route as a taxi rather than doing the job it was brought to do. Initially a passenger would pay sh500 from Kampala to Entebbe, now the fare is sh700 but still lower than the sh1,500 charged by UTODA taxis. And to maximise profits, they squeeze in five per row rather than three and passengers travel without seatbelts.
