Top banker freaks at Crane’s ATMs

In the Crane Restaurant at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel, a top well known and reputable banker on Monday was seen apparently startled, to learn that Sudhir Ruparelia’s Crane Bank was installing ten cash dispensers in one swoop. The best all the other banks could manage at the start was a measly one each. The audibly-alarmed banker was telling people in his company that they (Crane) already have five dispensers up and running including one at Entebbe Airport; and they will have five others up and running in the next few months. Does this signal the start of an ATM war?
