Good point on ‘Ekimeeza’

Jul 18, 2002

SIR— I refer to the letter “Ekimeeza should be refined” in your issue of yesterday.

On behalf of the Ekimeeza, I wish to express our sincere apology for the isolated but remorseful utterances made by some of our members when contributing to serious national issues. The observations by Mr James Mugeni are quite relevant; but the programme being live, you cannot completely rule out emotions.Nevertheless, we shall continue to urge our discussants to concentrate on issues rather than being carried away by emotions. We request listeners of Radio One and the public to continue correcting us so that we can together shape the destiny of this country through candid and constructive discussion of national issues.
