The four children who were abandoned by their mother last week, received money from a reader who wanted to remain anonymous.The New Vision on July 9 published the story of Jalia Nalweyiso who abandoned the children.Zakia Kalyango, 5 and Ashraf Kintu, 8, who received a bag of used clothes contributed by The New Vision staff, were found playing in their compound. Their two sisters Latifah Nakintu, 12 and Sarah Namuyange, 10, hid from the New Vision team.The Kasekere village local council chairman, Kayenje parish, Kibibi sub-county, Mpigi district, Jaberi Tamukedde, received sh100,800 on behalf of the children.“Their mother came recently when she was told that she was in the papers. Maybe she told them to hide from the press because she is a very difficult woman. She left without giving them anything,” Tamukedde said. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Lira also sent sh50,000 for the children. Ends
