By Joyce NamutebiVice-President Dr. Speciosa Kazibwe attacked Bunyole county MP Emmanuel Dombo during a Movement caucus meeting she convened to brief MPs on the cooperative movement on Thursday.Dombo drew Kazibwe’s anger when he said during discussion time, “We are running everything on an adhoc programme. How are we progressing?” He also asked what had happened to government programmes like barter trade.Dombo said the issue of cooperatives had appeared as a subject in former presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye’s 2001 manifesto. But Kazibwe sprang to her feet and demanded an apology from Dombo. “When you talk like that you hit me as a Government. We have been walking for four years (on cooperatives).“This is very serious work. In Pallisa (Dombo’s district), if you don’t know there are cooperatives we have started!” Kazibwe said. She said she wanted to bring the MPs on board about the subject so that they share the same passion with her.Ends
