SC Villa must be torn between laughing or crying at the mess at Lugogo and Wankulukuku.

The high turnover of playing and coaching staff at KCC and Express means SC Villa will have a head start to the new soccer season at the end of the month.

But, Villa being the strategists we all know them to be, must be worried by a trend that virtually gives them a monopoly. It is generally acknowledged, that for Villa to make the group stages of the African Champions League, they also need good local opposition.

The four pillars for a successful club are foresighted administrators, modern coaches, young players, and patient fans —in that order. Villa are working daily at having all four pillars in place.

Express had one in Dragan Popadic and Jimmy Muguwa while KCC had Mike Mutebi and David Otti, but minus a management pillar, their value was never appreciated.

Express and KCC can still give Villa a fight and the fans a game, by removing their teams from remote control.
