kampala — Japan will continue to encourage long term investments in Uganda, the Japanese ambassador Tatsuya Miki said on Thursday. Miki said, as part of this initiative, the Japan will examine its policy to expand coverage under the duty-free and quota-free treatment for LDCs by April 2003. He said Phenix Logistics Uganda Limited, a textiles group, was one example of investments from Japan.
