The WHO Guard Is Very Rude

Mar 29, 2002

SIR— We are researchers who have used the World Health Organisation (WHO) library for several years. But of late we have resorted to going to other libraries and research centres. This is because the WHO policewoman is very rude. Unlike other guards who are polite and respectful, this one stops short of jeering at us. It is not uncommon for her to argue with visitors and has been overheard saying “people minimise me when I am here.” Many times she has told us that the relevant officer is not around, only to call and you are told he is in office. We have decided to go to the press because as the saying goes, enough is enough! An international organisation like WHO, should repair its image, and dispatch the ‘good lady’ for a course on customer care.Lydia KamezireGloria KagudoKabarole
