By Geofrey NyakoojoKakooza, a resident of Makindye Muswangali Zone could not believe it when he was conned broad day light by a sharp Primary Seven pupil of Nakasero Primary school. It all happened when Brian, a P.7. pupil of Nakasero assured Kakooza he would supply him with HIV medicine to heal him after payment of sh50,000 cash so that he can run to the mother’s clinic and steal the medicine from there. Brian’s mother owns a pharmacy in Kampala along Wilson Road. After the deal, Kakooza accepted to pay the fare so that he could get medicine and give it to his sick wife and after she has healed he could buy for himself. He rushed to his work place and picked money, which he gave Brian the following day. After receiving the money, Brian bought Ampicilin tablets and Panadol, from a nearby Clinic, wrapped in polythene bag and rushed to Kakooza telling him to keep them very far since it is a very expensive drug and stolen from the mother. On reaching home and opening, Kakooza could not believe it. He rushed back but Brian was no where to be found. When he found Brian the following day, he had no single coin in his pockets and assured him not to report because he (Brian) would deny ever promising Kakooza HIV drugs since he neither owns a drug store nor operates a pharmacy.Kakooza had to accept the loss and defeat after Brian proved sharper than Kakooza and could speak good English.
