Agriculture minister Dr. Kisamba Mugerwa's car was vandalised on Sunday at Kasangati where Besigye held a campaign rally, reports Milton Olupot. Kisamba, the agriculture minister and the in-charge of President Yoweri Museveni's task force in Buganda, had the rear number plate of his car plucked off. There has been a series of attacks on Besigye's supporters which the Police is investigating. Two Besigye's supporters were killed recently by unknown people. Besigye's task force has blamed the death of Mohammed Kisubi and Hussein Namonye, on state agents. The two were killed in separate incidents in Nakaloke and Namakwekwe, in Mbale. The task force yesterday sent condolence messages to the bereaved families. The Mbale District Police Commander, Oire Eyagu, has dismissed claims that the murders were politically motivated. Ofwono Opondo, the deputy publicity secretary of Museveni's national task force, yesterday denied that Museveni's camp was behind the murder. "Our record is well known in Government. We do not kill people, Besigye's group is full of malcontents," he said. Ends.
