MBARARA - Security has been stepped up in the runner-up to Tuesday's parliamentary elections.

MBARARA - Security has been stepped up in the runner-up to Tuesday's parliamentary elections. Columns of about 50 heavily armed UPDF soldiers and additional 20 Local Defence Unit Forces and the Police have since Friday night been patrolling Mbarara town streets and the surbubs. The heavy deployment of the military and the Police has, however, not interfered with the town's nightlife. They are deployed at Kizungu, Nyamutyobora, Kakoba, and Kakyeka. Ends
