MAKINDYE West polls were characterised by voter malpractices, reports Edris Kisambira. At Kasawe polling station in Madirisa zone, Betty Nakate, an observer with the NEMGROUP said a man who posed as a presiding officer was sent away. In another incident a man who had smeared vaseline in his palms was discovered and was advised not to vote until he had washed the vaseline off, Nakate said. She said other voters did not want to dip their fingers into the indelible ink. Ends
