Refugees To Re-Register

KAMPALA — The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) is to re-register all refugees residing in Kampala, the UHCR deputy representative, J.M. Castro, has said. Castro said this yesterday at a press conference at the Refugee Directorate, Office of the Prime Minister (PM) at Bukesa, Kampala at which he released the provisional statistics of the refugee population in Uganda. Castro said a survey shows that from July 9, 2001 to July 20, there were 172,722 refugees in Uganda. Ends
