Foreigners, please take care!

SIR—I would like to alert the foreigners who live in Uganda and encash their cheques with forex bureaus or banks to inform their overseas bankers not to accept written instructions to transfer the money from their account to accounts in overseas banks. There have been many attempts in the last few years by fraudsters and they have succeeded in many cases. I would request the expatriates to take extra care. The collaborators or culprits are from some courier companies. Name withheld on request
