Malaba Police alert over Besigye escape

THE Police in the border town of Malaba is on alert over the disappearance of former presidential candidate Rt. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye, reports, Paul Okaramedo. The Police have since Tuesday intensified checking people entering into Kenya in a bid to trap Besigye in case he tried to go out of the country through Malaba. This followed the Monitor story that Besigye had gone missing. A source said, “we have deployed more policemen at the entrance gate Kenya to check and identify each person and luggage because there was a possibility of Besigye using that route.”
