SIR—I was shocked to hear that the swearing in of Hon Vincent Nyanzi, a murder suspect, was not halted by Parliament. Somebody on trial for a capital offence, above all murder, should not have been sworn in. What would happen if Nyanzi was found guilty of murder? Should we believe that Parliament condones murder? It is even tricky that people are going to avoid to utter a word about it, fearing to comment on a case in court. Why did they then have to release him on bail? The Uganda Law Society should say something about this. Frank Nkoto Kampala
