THE central Government treasury has withdrawn over sh310m from Bushenyi district administration following the reported failure to utilise the funds by the end of the last fiscal year.
A district official said on Thursday that they were facing a financial problem after the money was withdrawn under the President’s orders last month.
The LC5 finance secretary, Mr. Alfred Bangirana, told The New Vision that the projects for primary school construction, primary health care, rural water and sanitation and the Programme for Modernisation of Agriculture projects had stalled. The funds had just been deposited.
