RESIDENTS of Sigulu Island have asked the Ministry of Education and Sports to build a government-aided secondary school to uplift the education standards, reports Richard Osinde. They made the appeal on Tuesday during Independence Day celebrations held at Rabadi Primary School playground. They also asked Sigulu leaders to ask the Government for a constituency status. The deputy director for external relations at the Movement Secretariat, Mr. Latigo Olal, who was chief guest, said the Movement “being a government of the people will respect people’s wishes.” Latigo told the district chairman, Mr Siraje Lyavala, that the Government plans to avail secondary schools to all constituencies.
