Club Secretary Moses Oleico told Sunday Vision that Express had lured Burundian striker Abdalla Irabomba to their camp whereas the player has already signed to play for Mbale Heroes in the 2001 season. Heroes spotted the Burundians during the CECAFA Senior Challenge cup in Kampala and immediately went into negotiations before securing ITCs from the Burundi Football Association. The other Burundian Nicholas Kubi is already training with Mbale Heroes. Oleico said: "there is no way Express can recruit Irabumba". Oleico blamed Heroes former goalkeeper Bin Mungu (now with Express) for persuading Irabomba to join Express. Efforts to get a comment from FUFA Administrative Secretary Vincent Kissa were fruitless as his mobile telephone number was not available. r KCC will take on Villa again in the Id-El-Fitir Cup at Nakivubo January 1, 2001 writes D.
