BUNAMWAYA SC and Cranes midfielder Owen Kasule has completed a two-year transfer to Vietnamese V League club Hoang Ahn Gia Lai FC at $23000 (sh54m), his former club Bunamwaya has said.

The Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder left Bunamwaya at the end of last season and travelled to Vietnam and has been doing trials at different clubs in Vietnam.

Kasule joins former teammates at Bunamwaya SC and midfielder Juma Saddam in the V League. He will be paid a monthly salary of $5000 (sh12m) and winning bonus of $2000 (sh4.7m).

Bunamwaya SC secretary Haruna Kyobe said that the club has bagged $15000 (sh35.3m) from the player’s sale.

“Kasule has finally realized his professional dream. We at Bunamwaya SC only pray that he succeeds in all endeavors at his new club,” Kyobe said yesterday.

Kasule joined Bunamwaya SC from KCC in 2008 reportedly sh4m and helped the club to win their first ever Uganda super League title that year.

Bunamwaya is hopeful that Kasule could be headed to English Premier League club Arsenal as Hoang Ahn Gia Lai identifies players to join Arsenal's reserve team.
