For the whole day today, social networks have been dominated by bad news, fortunately, which turned out to be a bad rumour that Ginkese singer Qute Kaye was dead.

However, it is not true that the emotional singer is dead. Although Qute Kaye has been ill for so long, we can exclusively reveal that he is alive, a close friend who was with him in Mukono, revealed.

Qute Kaye was discovered in 2006 after outing his first single, Ginkese, a song about betrayal.  But about three years before that, he participated in the Coca Cola pop stars.

He then gave up on secular music and went on to sing for the church and doing karaoke at Sabrinas Pub and Garden City. In 2005, he competed for the Mr. Sabrina's Pub title and won.

Thereafter, he wrote a song, Mother Africa for the hip-hop canvas, which was nominated for best Ugandan hip-hop song the same year.

Early 2006, he returned from Europe where he had gone to develop some music and embarked on the Ginkese album, which propelled him into limelight.
