''Bad Black'' denied bail again

THE bail application for Shanita Namuyimbwa aka Bad Black has been delayed until November 16, as the State verifies the authenticity of the land title her sureties presented to Court.

The bail application for Shanita Namuyimbwa aka Bad Black has been delayed until November 16, as the State verifies the authenticity of the land title her sureties presented to Court.

 Justice Mugamba of the Anti-Corruption Court sent Namuyimbwa back to jail until Wednesday when her application for bail is expected to be heard.

Last week the same court denied Namuyimbwa bail after she failed to present credible sureties.Prosecutors allege that in Septemeber2010, David Green Halgh jointly formed a company with Bad Black.
 
The company, which was registered as Daveshan Development Limited, sought to deal in land purchase and property management.

Green, who is a manager in Air Services in the UK, had 75% shares while Black had 25% the two opened an account in Barclays at Garden City Branch to operate the business.
 
According to prosecution Bad Black did not contribute any money towards the opening of the account.It further alleged that between September 2010 and March2011, Green deposited $3,824,130 from the UK to facilitate the business.

On December 5, 2010, Green came to Uganda to monitor the progress of their business but Bad Black allegedly failed to account for the money. She denies the charges.
