Tanzania's John Pombe Magufuli has handed over the chair of the Southern African Development Community to his Mozambican counterpart, Filipe Nyusi.
The pullout was made possible by the work of a joint diplomatic mission from the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
The President said the founders of the African union realized that despite some weaknesses like some members not being serious
South Africa and Namibia are co-hosting the SADC Solidarity Conference with Western Sahara.
The leaders also asked fighting groups in active combat to cease hostilities or face a full military action.
