CORONAVIRUS| HEALTH| UPDATES
The health ministry on Thursday announced that Uganda's cumulative Coronavirus cases have hit the 1,000 mark, with 908 of them already recovered and discharged.
This followed the confirmation of 23 new positive cases from 3,316 samples tested on Wednesday.
"Of the 23 confirmed cases; twelve are Ugandan nationals who returned from abroad, eight from Afghanistan, three from DRC and one from South Sudan," read part of the minsitry's statement posted on Twitter.
"They were under quarantine at the time of the test."
Uganda, which is yet to record a coronavirus related deaths, has so far recorded a total of 908 recoveries.
