KCCA missed the chance to stretch their lead at the top of the Uganda Premier League as Police held them to a 1-1 draw at Lugogo stadium.

That goal changed the complexion of the game as Police step up their game to outplay KCCA. The cops had themselves to blame as they missed numerous chance.

Despite dropping two points, KCCA remained top of the table standings with 45 points, seven above second-placed Vipers. Vipers return to action Friday when they host tricky side Bright Stars at St Mary's stadium in Kitende.

Elsewhere, Shafik Kagimu scored a double as URA defeated Kirinya Jinja SS 2-0 at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
 
In Zombo, Paidha Black Angels defeated fellow bottom side Nyamityobora 2-0 for the first time this season at their home turf.
