In a charitable bid to enable the people of Karamoja access clean water, Worship Harvest Ministries Church, in partnership with World Vision, held a fundraising dinner at Protea Hotel on Friday.
The function was graced by among others the National Director of World Vision, Gilbert Kamanga, the organization's Programme Director Tinah Mukunda, and Pastors Jeremy and Beatrice Byemanzi. MPs Hillary Lokwanga (IK County) and Samson Lokeris (Dodoth East) also graced the function.
The vision bearer of the water project, Allan Tayebwa said that they aimed at raising sh125m, to build Five boreholes, which would serve 1,500 people.
About sh96m was raised in cash and pledges during the function.
