The office of the Nnabagereka will on Friday host a group of philanthropists and other stakeholders at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
The breakfast meeting is organised by the Nnabagereka Development Foundation (NDF) in partnership with the African Philanthropy Forum (APF).
According to Maroushka Kanywani, a communication consultant at the office of the Nnabagereka, the meeting provides an environment for a dialogue on growing local philanthropy.
"It provides an opportunity for current and potential philanthropists to learn from one another and share strategies for contributing to inclusive development in Uganda," she explained.
Kanywani during an interview with New Vision today noted that a number of topics are to be discussed through the meeting.
"The topics include the concept of philanthropy as partnership in development, the history of philanthropy and types of philanthropic organisations, overviews of the Global and African Philanthropy Forums, and the need for constructive, organised and systematic philanthropy," she said.
She added that APF seeks to build and continuously expand a learning community of Africa's strategic philanthropists and social investors committed to inclusive and sustainable economic development.
She said the Nnabagereka of Buganda, Sylvia Nagginda is a core member of the APF and has been a featured speaker at both APF and Global Philanthropy Forum (GPF) conferences.
