RESIDENTS of Nambaale village in Iganga district have received a sh150m clinic. Margaret Kaani, a Ugandan health worker in the US, funded the building of the clinic located on a five-acre piece of land.

“Many suffered from easily treatable diseases like malaria, gonorrhea, tetanus and whooping cough but could not get immediate care because of the long distance to Iganga town,” Kaani said on Friday.

Dr. David Muwanguzi, the Iganga director of health services, said the directorate was working with Kaani to improve health care in the area.

“Some health workers from the district health department have been deployed at the health unit and so far 3,000 patients have been attended to,” Muwanguzi said.
