OLYMPICS-International Olympic Committee President, Jacques Rogge was honoured on Thursday for his role in greening of sporting events in the world. The IOC supremo was named among seven winners of various awards in a ceremony held in Nairobi. Rogge was recognised for advancing sport and environment agenda by providing resources.

SOCCER-KCC FC interim chairman Godfrey Kisekka has urged FUFA to harmonise the transfer window within the region. Kisekka, who is also the vice chairman of Super Division Clubs Association met FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa at Lugogo said that clubs were suffering irregularity of player transfers. â€œWe sign players to achieve some goals but before we do, others come and take them away and we canâ€™t replace them because the window has closed,â€ Kisekka said.
Zone VII ready
SOCCER-A total of 27 teams have registered for this yearâ€™s Zone VII football league, chairman Paul Wasswa has said. He said that the teams from the districts of Rakai, Masaka, Kalangala, Sembabule and Lyantonde were ready for the February 17 kick off.
