THE Democratic Party (DP) is to set rules and procedures for its presidential candidates in the 2006 elections. The vice-chairperson of the DP parliamentary caucus, Zackary Olum, yesterday said since the party had three aspiring candidates, there was bound to be chaos.
75 laid off

NAKASONGOLA district administration has laid off 75 employees in an on-going exercise instituted by the Public Service Commission to restructure the civil service countrywide. The lay-offs were effected on Monday after 1,700 employees were interviewed.

A TEENAGE Kenyan girl reportedly killed her father on Monday after confessing that she should â€˜disciplineâ€™ him for assaulting her mother. Eldoret police chief Maina Migwi said the girl hit Ezekiel Lokale, 45, with a metallic bar on the head.
