JINJA Municipal council has embarked on a sh615m project to construct six roads in the town totalling to 10.7 kilometres.
The work has been contracted to Roko Construction Company and is expected to be completed in four months.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday by Jinja deputy town clerk, Joffram Waidhuba and Roko director Kurt Blaettler.
Jinja mayor David Wakudumira (pictured) on Wednesday launched the project. Work started on Kiira Road, one of the most dilapidated roads in the municipality.
Kiira Road and the Kyabazinga Way, with a total distance of 3.5 km are to be graded.
