PRESIDENT Museveni's campaign team is reviewing the slogans he used in the 1996 campaign to stop his opponents from using them to decampaign him. Ofwono Opondo, Museveni's campaign deputy publicity secretary, said yesterday the opponents say the "No Change" slogan means continued poverty, corruption, Ebola and continued UPDF stay in DR Congo, reports Hamis Kaheru. "We call upon our supporters to send proposals and two reasons why we should retain (the old slogan) or change," he said. He said the call was in line with Museveni's spirit of consulting the masses over national issues. "His candidature was through consultations, although he may have had his personal intentions," Ofwono said. He said the 'No Change' slogan affirms the will to continue with Museveni's achievements. "The slogan means no change in the overall strategic objectives, which include policies for investors," he said. Ends.
