State minister Chris Baryomunsi has decried the souring population that is not matching the economic growth leading to a housing gap of sh2.5m housing units, in his remarks during the 8th population conference in Entebbe. 

The conference was themed, "Harnessing youth development potential in Africa; have we succeeded? 

Baryomunsi said that there is a need to invest in the population through education, providing skills, giving them proper health care so that they can actively contribute to the economic development in the country.

Reports indicate that Med Kaggwa fainted on his way to work inside his car around the Mulago round-about in Kampala.

Attempts to resuscitate him proved futile as he was pronounced dead at Case Clinic along Buganda Road.

MIRIAM NAMUTEBI'S LENS AT PARLIAMENT

Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has today morning received kits from the MTN CEO, Wim Vanhelleputte, ahead of the 2019 MTN marathon happening this Sunday on the 24 November.

MIRIAM NAMUTEBI'S LENS AT THE HEALTH COMMITTEE MEETING 

Medical elders forum headed by former Vice President Specioza Kazibwe says the health insurance bill should be drafted in a way that it focuses on the restructuring of the entire health sector and not merely focusing on setting up an authority that will oversee a fund for medical insurance.

This was during the Health Committee meeting where members are receiving submissions on the National Health Bill.
