AGE LIMIT | BISHOP KAGGWA

The Bishop of Masaka Diocease John Baptist Kaggwa, has expressed disappointment with the Members of Parliament for what he described as ganging up against the will of the majority of Ugandans by passing constitutional amendments to lift the presidential age limit.
While delivering his Christmas message at his diocesan home at Kitovu in Masaka district, Kaggwa said the legislators’ decision has drowned the country’s political atmosphere into disarray, characterised by uncertainty.
He said the country is not convinced with the outcome, which he said was open-day betrayal by the representatives of citizens for selfish gains.
Kaggwa also called for independence of government agencies in the execution of their mandates and responsibilities, which, according to him, will restore public trust in the Government.
