President Yoweri Museveni has testified that Pope Francis prayed for his (Museveni's) fractured hand in 2015, and it got healed.

“I had fractured my hand accidently and then we met in the UN generally Assembly in New York. When we were going to make speeches, we met and my hand was fractured, so he prayed for me and it got healed,” Museveni said amid applause from Catholics at Namugongo Catholic Shrine.

The President, who was the chief guest, made the testimony on Sunday, during mass to celebrate the 50th anniversary for Kampala Archdiocese, at Namugongo Catholic Shrine.

Museveni welcomed Fernando Cardinal Filoni, who represented Pope Francis at the celebrations.
