Vipers take on Maroons in another pre-season friendly

Maroons have continued to prepare for their re-entry into the Azam Uganda Premier League without a head coach.

Maroons FC will faceoff with Vipers FC today in another pre-season friendly. Both clubs are preparing for the 2017/18 football season that kicks off on September,13.

Without a head coach following the resignation of Asaph Mwebaze, Maroons have continued to prepare for their re-entry into the Azam Uganda Premier League with a number of friendlies under the guide of assistant coaches.

On Friday, Maroons played to a one all draw with Kirinya Jinja SSS FC. Musa Ssali put the visitors ahead at the Uganda Electric Board grounds in Jinja. However, Allan Kayiwa managed to find the back of the net to level matters for Kirinya.

Maroons will start their league campaign against champions KCCA FC on September 12, 2017 away from home while Vipers will also be away at Bright Stars FC.

The new Maroons CEO Posiano Bamwange says their focus is to find a new coach so that they are ready to compete solidly in the top flight Ugandan football.
