A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 10-year-old biological daughter and is being held at Fort Portal police station in Boma.
Geoffrey Asaba a resident of Lyamabwa village in Kisomoro sub county in Kabarole district was arrested on Monday.
"Asaba was coming from a night club and was under the influence of alcohol," Mugga Bakari the regional police spokesperson said.
"He had threatened to harm the victim if she told anyone" Bakari added.
Nevertheless, he said, the girl shared her ordeal with her grandmother. The victim's mother was not at home on the fateful night according to police.
Bakari said the suspect would be produced in court once their investigations are complete and charged with aggravated defilement.
In his statement, however Asaba denied all the charges but the police say that medical reports indicate that there was penetration of victim's private parts.
