Namirembe Bishop Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira has called for peace as the country prepares for the general elections in 2021.
Luwalira made the remarks at Mengo hospital in Kampala on Monday (December 29, 2020), during a thanksgiving service for George Karyemanya who has served as a lay leader at Mengo hospital chapel for 33 years.
"People are dying due to violence during campaign rallies. I, therefore, call upon candidates to mind the words they use when addressing their supporters. This way, we will live in peace till the polling dates," he added.
