BUSHENYI - Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leaders in Bushenyi district have demanded the unconditional release of their party president, Patrick Oboi Amuriat.
The leaders made the call on Friday morning while addressing a press conference at their party offices in Bushenyi.

Police said Amuriat was arrested following a scuffle that happened in Mbarara two days ago.
The Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson Martial Tumusiime said Amuriat was arrested for knocking down the DPC of Mbarara John Rutaagira using a bodaboda.
After his arrest, he was driven to Mbarara under tight security.
While addressing the press conference at their office, the chairman FDC Bushenyi, Guma Gumisiriza said police is pushing them to the wall by harassing their people and the leaders' something that might lead to serious future repercussions.
"We are peace-loving Ugandans, we don't want to use violence but if this continues, we may be forced to use plan B," Guma said.
Muramagi Kamadhi, an FDC supporter said they have spent over 10 million shillings to organise activities in Bushenyi but all their efforts may end up a total waste.
