Four perish in Rwampara accident

Four people died on the spot in a road accident that occurred on Thursday evening at Rugando trading centre on the Mbarara-Ntungamo road.

According to Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police spokesperson,  the fatal accident involved a yellow Isuzu bus reg no UBG 789J and a black Nissan Datsun reg no UAE 997H.

Kasasira said that the all occupants of the Nissan pickup died on the spot including two juveniles and the driver who has been identified as Joseph Gumisiriza.

He added that the bodies have been taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary and both vehicles towed to the Mbarara Inspectorate of Vehicles yard pending inspection.
