President Yoweri Museveni is today expected to campaign in Iganga district while his political rivals such as Patrick Amuriat of the Forum for Democratic Change is scheduled to be in Ankole sub-region. 
 
Amuriat will campaign in Buhweju, Bunyangabo and Ibanda. For the last one week, he has been in Ankole canvassing for votes. 

Robert Kyagulanyi of the National Unity Platform has resumed campaigns, lifting an earlier suspension over what he called mistreatment from security agencies.

More so, Henry Tumukunde, an Independent, is expected to continue with his campaigns in Karamoja Nabilatuk, Napak, and Nakapiripirit. 

Other independents; John Katumba is expected in Buhweju, Rubirizi, and Bushenyi; Willy Mayambala in Arua; Joseph Kabuleta in Nakasongola, Nakaseke, and Mityana; and Nancy Nakalembe is scheduled to be in Lyantonde, Lwengo, Kyotera, and Rakai. 

Mugisha Muntu of the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) is expected in Amuru and Gulu City.
  
There are 11 candidates in total who are competing for the country's Presidential Seat, in elections slated for January.
