The federation has warned fans against coming to the venues

The Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) Super League one will throw off on December 5 after months of discussion between clubs and the federation.

About 20 teams are expected to compete in the two tiers; the Super League and the Second Division.

"Every club is going to have to test their players. All clubs are very ready to throw off including the newly promoted teams in Division Two," assistant general secretary Alice Alweny said.

With all clubs are expected to do mandatory testing, UNF will help subsidise for the paid-up members of the federation. Only clubs that have paid affiliation fees will be considered for subsidised testing.

"The fact is for those who have affiliated with UNF we shall do cost-sharing with them. And they also have to agree to go to camp. Once they are tested there is no going back home when they are playing because when they go home they will mix with other people," commented UNF president Susan Anek.

Police Grounds will be the main venue for the league but they will also use Lugogo and other venues whenever possible.

The federation has warned fans against coming to the venues and they expect each and everyone to adhere to the SOP's.

They expect everyone who isn't on the court and has access to the venue to mask and keep a social distance. All teams are expected to adhere to these guidelines if the competition is to be played.
