Amuriat attends mass before starting campaigns

Amuriat said he did not go to campaign from the cathedral but to seek the favour of God throughout his campaign.

Patrick Oboi Amuriat, has attended a mass at Uganda Martyrs Cathedral, Lira led Bishop Sanctus Lino Wanok.

The Bishop said Amuriat becomes the second presidential candidate to visit the Cathedral after president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

However, Amuriat said he did not go to campaign from the cathedral but to seek the favour of God throughout his campaign.

"I have come barefoot because I want to stand by the vulnerable having lost my shoes in the hands of Uganda Police on the day of his nomination," Amuriat said, calling the congregation to vote for him.

Residents of Ayabi Town Council, in Kwania district, welcome Amuriat ahead of his campaign.

He made the remarks in Lira City West, Adyel division before proceeding to Apac, Kwania, and Kole districts for his campaigns.
