Museveni heads to Arua, Bobi Wine to Lira

President Yoweri Museveni will today be in Arua, as Robert Kyagulanyi heads to Oyam, Apac and Lira on the fourth day of the Presidential campaigns.

Museveni of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and Kyagulanyi of the National Unity Platform (NUP) are part of the 11 candidates who have been cleared by the national Electoral Commission to scout for votes, ahead of the January 2021 presidential elections.

This will be the second return of the Museveni to the same district, within just a couple of weeks. 

He was in Arua, on a five-day journey, in which he unveiled major projects in Acholi and West Nile sub-regions, including the breaking of the ground ceremony for the 132KV transmission line. He also commissioned the Arua value-addition factory on top of an 8MW thermal power plant by Electro-Maxx.

Meanwhile, Kyagulanyi will be in Lira and Apac; following Museveni's footsteps in the last two days of the presidential campaign trail.  Museveni was in Lira on Tuesday before heading to Apac yesterday (Wednesday).

Others expected to be on the campaign trail include Henry Tumukunde in Rwampara, Ntungamo and Isingiro. He is expected to hold a press conference in Kabale district; an area off his expected campaign trail.

Patrick Amuriat of the Forum for Democratic Change will be in Kalaki and Kaberamaido.

Fred Mwesigye will still be in Kampala. 

The Electoral Commission's cleared programme also shows that John Katumba will be in Maracha, Koboko and Yumbe. Willy Mayambala is expected in Gomba, Mpigi and Sembabule.  

Mugisha Muntu is expected to be in Ntungamo, Rwampara, Mitooma while Joseph Kabuleta will be in Pakwach, Arua and Yumbe.

Nancy Kalembe, the only female presidential candidate will be in Namisindwa, Tororo, Mbale and Manafwa.
